Introducing Ty Walls, one of our amazing Tech Mentor Interns! Since joining Pi515 in October, Ty has been an essential part of our Tech Mentorship Program at Principal Financial Group, providing invaluable guidance and support to our students during class. What lessons did you learn from High School?

Being early is better than arriving on time.

Be open to everything even if it's your first time doing it.

Why did you choose Pi515?

I chose Pi515 because the work you guys do really aligns with my goals for impacting the community.

What have you learned from interning at Pi515?

I’ve learned that every child is different.

What is your favorite coding language?

CSS or HTML

If you could teach a coding skill to anyone (even a famous figure), who would it be and what would you teach?

I would teach Hellen Keller how to code python

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a beginner coder?

It’s hard but not impossible
